On
the subject of marijuana, Marxists, at least majority of Marxists,
hold a tolerant view on marijuana. Let's explore why.
Within the recent years with the rise of climate change, hemp has showed to be a revolutionary alternative to our current problem of oil, coal, fossil fuels, etc. Studies and tests have been done and results come in that hemp can be used for paper, fuel, building materials, and clothing. Because of this, it is clear why hemp products are not being pushed more than others, because this would be a competition big corporations would not stand against, big corporations would collapse against this green alternative. Today, from what it seen among the Marxist community, most back this alternative.
Now on consumption, I shall use the socialist state of North Korea as a current example for Marxists stance on consumption of marijuana. The huffingtonpost surprisingly made a report on this subject, but North Korea has no laws on the consumption of marijuana, and don't consider it a important enough issue to make such laws. In fact, most of North Korea backs the consumption of marijuana. They see the consumption as a good way to relax from a day of work and to help with stress or other issues. Marijuana is sold locally in stores, usually in small towns. Because of North Korea's lack of laws on the drug, its price is extremely cheap. A small shopping bag full of marijuana in North Korea costs about 80 cents.
Now lets highlight the medical effects of marijuana. There is a website dedicated to studying the effects of many marijuana strands and seeing their effects on the individual, this sites purpose is seeing the medical treatment of marijuana. From what is seen, most marijuana strands help individuals with anxiety, depression, lack of hunger, and insomnia.

Marijuana,
for Marxists, is not a issue of great importance in which to spend a
lot of energy on. The science has been done and as Marxists we're
scientists, and as scientists we've seen there is no dramatic issues
with marijuana other than being a drug to help with relaxation or
help ailments.
