Five Weak Capitalist Arguments

1.“Human nature is greedy; Greed is tied in to Human nature”

Most people living under capitalism believe this statement because capitalism raises them to believe it. This "greed is natural" garbage can easily be destroyed. The existence of communists and planned socialist economic systems makes the "human greed" statement invalid. From this, before the time of capitalism, feudalism, monarchy, etc., before the establishment of government or national hierarchy, the only way to survive and live, was through collective solidarity and communal work. This makes the statement that “greed is natural” an invalid argument. Solidarity and collective organization are human nature. Greed is a learned behavior brought in to human thinking through the influence of anti-social forces, an unnatural behavior appropriated to appear as “normal.”

2.“Communist dictatorships have failed”

Let's debunk this by first, explaining what communism is. Communism by Marxist definition and ideological accuracy, is a global, stateless society; Absent of government, currency, imperialism, war, etc. Thus, to make an argument as if communism has ever existed in human history, even in the form of a state is inaccurate because Marx himself went to great pains to explain that true communism does not exist until the state "withers away."

Secondly, Socialist dictatorships, which is what many call “Communist Dictatorships” have not failed, nor are they “dictatorships” in the concept as what capitalists use them as. Capitalists use the term “dictatorships” because under such establishment, capitalists are suppressed under the power of the proletariat, just as when the bourgeoisie holds power and control over the state apparatus, they oppress the Proletariat, which is a "dictatorship" of the bourgeoisie. Dictatorship of the proletariat is the democratic action and order of the proletariat; dictatorship of suppressing capitalist parasites from positions of government power, or power to exploit. In response to the statement that states with socialist planned economies have failed, the reverse is true. In countries like the USSR, DPRK, Cuba, etc. Socialist economies have been successful, outperforming capitalist ones. This means that socialism is not successful from the bourgeois point of view; with their interest in exploitation and profit over humanitarian values. To the communist, successful means a citizenry that is completely liberated and united, and that collectively produces for humanity on a scale that puts the bourgeoisie in perpetual fear.

3.“Communism/Socialism is the equivalent of fascism”

Communism/Socialism and fascism are polar opposites. Fascism is a by-product of decaying capitalism. Fascism is defined as follows: "[The] open terrorist dictatorship of the most reactionary section of the monopoly capitalists." "The two main features are: (1) At home, brutal suppression of democratic rights of masses and the enslavement of all toilers; (2) abroad, wars of spoliation and conquest, prepared for and carried through by 'totalitarian' organization of nation, by 'bestial chauvinism,' abandonment of every moral principle, extinction of other States, wholesale massacres and enslavement of entire nations."

It is the desperate attempt of capitalists to steal as much as possible nationally and internationally through the acts of mass terror and imperialism. Extremist racism intertwined with right-wing authoritarianism creates a rhetoric that leads from right-wing populism to fascism. This rhetoric is dangerous if the masses are already deeply divided upon racist influence and permit right-wing totalitarianism to take full power. Communists and Socialists argue and fight for solidarity among races and for proletarian political power; fascism, as an attempt to weaken the worker liberation, disbands Communist Parties, unions, democratic institutions etc. thus making them easier to control and exploit on a massive scale. Corporate power is merged with state power, allowing the big bourgeoisie to make the decisions next to the fascist dictator they support, finance, and protect. With regard to race, we can see clearly from history, the bourgeoisie will divide the masses upon lines of race, gender, religion, national origin etc. and will target all who are not part of the bourgeois class.

4.“Capitalism gave you everything, without it you wouldn't have it”

Capitalism gives you nothing, capitalism produces nothing. Workers do. Workers, with their labor, are what produces everything you have. Labor creates all value. Capitalism guarantees that capitalists own the means of production, and siphon off the profit from the labor of the working class.

“How can you hate capitalism when you use a computer, i phone, i pad, etc.?”

The bourgeoisie in the 1700's was slaughtered using the guillotine, what's your point? Ever heard the quote from Lenin that "The capitalists will sell us the rope with which they will hang themselves" ? This is the same concept. Every product that workers create that the bourgeoisie profits from, can be used in the name of the continuation of capitalism, or to fight against it. In bourgeois society, there is no way to get around this fact. For fighting capitalism, the tools will be the products built by. and purchased by, the proletariat.

5.“Workers unions and angry striking workers are bad for business”

Unions and angry striking workers are bad for bourgeoisie business, only because it makes the capitalism vulnerable and hinders its ability to transition to the natural stage of capitalism which is extreme exploitation for maximum profits. This stage is sometimes called "the race to the bottom." Even though unions do not take the revolutionary road of Marxism, they unite the working force and organize them to speak up for better treatment, which makes organized workers the most advanced in the class struggle. This can easily turn into a class conscious group, making the bourgeoisie tremble, for they cannot manipulate and exploit class conscious workers as they'd like.
